Northern Ontario Black Bears & Fishing- Hunt/Fish 211
Black Bear Hunting
To say that our Northern Ontario outfitter is family, would be a gross understatement. Our relationship with them is one that we cherish. Not because of the amazing Black Bear hunting, fishing, or food prepared by Mrs. Karen, but because they are amazing people who we love spending time with. At any given time, you might find us all at dinner in TN or hunting in Africa. We share the same values and passions. Therefore, we are honored to offer you this experience.
The operation is located in a rural part of Northern Ontario, off of the most northern highway that passes through the providence. Being in a place that is so remote and secluded, allows us the opportunity to see wildlife, that in most cases has never come into contact with a human before.
This outfitter controls one of the largest black bear management areas in Northern Ontario, spanning a massive 171 square miles. This allows them to properly manage the population and harvest some of the largest black bear in the area each year. An average black bear weighs in around 200-250 pounds; however, it is not uncommon to see hunters harvest black bear weighing in at 350+ pounds.
A Bait site is only hunted by ONE hunter per year! 100% shot opportunity over the last 3 years.
You can choose to hunt with either a bow, or rifle. (NO PISTOLS ALLOWED IN CANADA) An average shot will range from 10 to 25 yards, for archery and rifle hunters
Stands types include, lock on stands, ladder stands, and ground blinds. Make sure you bring your safety harness for any elevated stand.
An all-inclusive hunting package will include accommodations, meals, and an experienced Canadian guide that will show you to your stand, and prepare your bait to take with you each day. Hunts are semi-guided in nature.
Fishing is from mid-May until late September, and hunts are mid-May through mid-June and mid-August through mid-September.
The accommodations include six cabins that sleep between 2 and 6 people each, as well as a main lodge that has a living space and kitchen and dining room for our full service guests. Our individual cabins each have a small kitchenette and a half bath. Showers are in individual rooms inside the main lodge.
An average day will include a full breakfast, then you can fish or you may choose to hit the stand. Lunch will be a hearty meal that’s sure to please, then you will be off for your afternoon hunt. The evening meal will be served once the sunsets and hunters begin to arrive back in camp.

Fishing
The fishing is some of the best in Northern Ontario. We have fishermen return year after year to hit the highly sought after McKay Lake and several other “honey holes” in the area. There are more lakes within 20 miles than you could possibly fish in a month.
The mighty McKay is known for its Lake Trout fishing. It’s said to be one of the best spots in North America, and the main lodge is located on that lake system.
Fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye, Perch, and Small Mouth Bass is great in the area. Our manager or a private guide can point you in the right direction so that you have the best fishing experience possible.
Whether you are a highly skilled angler or an in experienced fisherman, you will truly enjoy the fishing.
