Bezoar Ibex hunts Our clients are typically met by the outfitter in Adana. We hunt some of the best areas available and our partners on the ground have been leading the bezoar ibex quest for over 20 years. They know these mountains and have been producing world class trophies consistently, including a world record. Hunters should consider taking a Chamois, as these mountains hold some of the largest on earth.
The Bezoar Ibex hunt is a typical spot and stalk mountain hunt. We start the day very early and drive to the mountain, around 30-45 minutes from the hotel/lodge. As it gets light, we start glassing and try to find the best trophy.
It is very common to see 10-15 male ibex a day if the hunt takes place during the rut. Spotting scopes are very important to judge the trophy size and compare with other billies. After locating the desired trophy, the final stalk is carried out on foot. The shooting distance is usually around 200-250 meters (220-275 yards). The altitude is around 1,500 – 2,750 meters (4,900 – 9,000 ft) in most of the
hunting areas. Snow is expected on the ground in January, February and March, but most of the areas do not have snow during November-December hunts. The terrain is relatively easy in some areas. However, some areas may be little bit rougher than average.
